I thought after my accident I would have a lot of rehab in front of me. I never imagined that when i woke up that I would have all these tubes and tracheostomy coming out of me, and would have to learn how to breathe, talk, swallow and eat again.

Must of been so hard for lucy and my family. Lucy comforting me while I was still asleep and out of it.

A massive rain(beau) came out over the hospital the first day I woke up, a week after the accident.

Back up and about smiling again. Could of been the time I kept dropping my arm off the bed deliberately, Lucy thought it was falling off and kept putting it back on the bed. Took her 5 times to realise I was having her on for a laugh

I wonder where I would be at now if it wasn’t for her. Lucy has been amazing. By my side the whole time keeping me positive and up and about.

Lucy reading me the story of John Maclean who I would later meet. He was the first paraplegic to do the hawaiin ironman and to swim the english channel, I really felt like I related to him.

After 18 days I had my trackie taken out, I was then able to breathe on my own, talk, and eat some food. One of the best days!

After not eating for 18 days its safe to say I was craving Some food. This was my first day getting fed. First food was some ice-cream
